Everyone needs clean air to breathe but clean air is not a guarantee in our changing world.

For health care workers, construction workers, immune-compromised individuals, hobbyists, and anyone dealing with the fallout of distant wildfires, toxic air quality has become all too common. Worse yet, if you have ever had to physically exert yourself wearing an N95 mask, you know how difficult breathing can be wearing an unpowered air filter mask (especially for those with chronic respiratory conditions). And yet, who can afford to spend thousands of dollars on powered personal air filtration devices?

The engineers at Tetra Bio Distributed have changed that!

Introducing the PAPRa: a powered air filtration system that is

affordable and safe.

The PAPRa is built and powered using off-the-shelf parts, readily available to anyone online.

It forces air through an N100 filter removing particulate debris (viruses, sawdust, wildfire particulates, fungal spores, pollen, and any other air particle of 0.3 microns are greater). The air is delivered to a mask making it much easier to breathe during physical exertion. Best of all, you don’t need to be a skilled “maker” with a 3D printer to own a PAPRa. It is now available in 3 editions:

  1. Assembled Edition The PAPRa comes fully assembled. The only do-it-yourself decision you will make is how you want to wear it and what type of battery works best for your personal use (list of compatible battery options is included).

  2. Tinkerer Edition

This is a great option for anyone with some maker skills but limited equipment. The device is sold as a kit with instructions for assembly.

  3. Maker Edition

For anyone who loves to solder and 3-D print, this is the kit for you. It comes with off-the-shelf parts, 3D print files and instructions for building your own PAPRa in the colors and style you want.
